Katie (Pogany) Petkovits

Mother and free spirit, Katherine Elizabeth (Pogany) Petkovits lived her life the only way she knew how: to the fullest. Always the adventurer, Katie did not settle on the 'American dream', instead pursuing her own dreams, usually involving water or snow, a healthy dose of danger, and like-minded friends. Of like-minded friends Katie never found a shortage, as she was quick not to leave you a stranger. However, the world does not revolve around you, but Katie.

On August 19th, God took this beautiful soul home for her greatest adventure. She leaves behind her sons, Maddox Storm and Lynkin Wynter; goddaughter Nevaeh; mother Laurie Murray; father Frank Pogany; sister Ivy Pogany; brothers Christopher Engelhardt and Jamie Pogany; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and all of her friends that became our family. Katie is preceded in death by her aunt Peggy and cousin Colleen.

A celebration of Katie’s life will be held Sunday, August 29th, at 2pm at the Grange Hall, 38402 180th Ave SE, Auburn, WA. 98092. Come celebrate with us and share Katie's life with stories and memories. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation at the service to Katie's sons.
