Kenneth G. Hix was born on June 30, 1932, to Guy L. Hix and Fay (Long) Hix in Sayre, Oklahoma, and his sister Alice Ann born in 1940. He joined the United States Navy on July 22, 1950, from Brewster, Washington. He returned home to Enumclaw, Washington in June 1954. He worked as a barber, liked to rodeo. Kenneth moved to Buckley, Washington, met Dorothy Locke and married in 1961. They had 2 boys, John and Patrick. Ken learned to log at Weyerhaeuser in Enumclaw. He served proudly as a city council member, Fire Chief, Policeman, and a store owner in Wilkeson. After many years of service, he retired to Brewster, Washington where he attended college and became an accredited Service Officer. Ken was a Life Member of (DAV) and American Legion. Ken’s father, mother, sister, and son Patrick (2017) proceeds him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy, son, John and his wife Judy, Patricks’ wife Valerie, grandchildren, Hannah and Mason, great-grandson, Corbyn. Ken died September 6, 2020.
