Kenny Leroy Van Wieringen
“Lone Ranger”
Kenny was born September 18, 1935, and passed away peacefully July 22, 2021, with his family by his side.
Kenny had a long satisfying and rewarding career driving log truck. He started driving log truck in 1955 and retired in 1999. Kenny bought a Kenworth truck in 1962. In 1969 he bought a brand new Peterbilt truck. He would finish his career in that truck. Kenny put over a million miles on that Peterbilt truck. Over the years he hauled for Kenny Kahne, John Blanusa, Clyde Sprague, Cecil Walker, Billy Ratliff and Weyerhaeuser.
In his spare time, he raised cattle, was a member of the Naches Trail Riders, President of the Log Truckers Association, and coached his kid’s ball teams.
During his retirement Kenny and the love of his life Floydyne would travel and watch all their kid’s and grandkid’s games. He was a collector of John Deere tractors and a member of the John Deere 2 Cycle Club. He spent many days playing cards at the Enumclaw Sales Barn with his friends, or at the Mason Lodge sharing stories, eating maple bars, and drinking coffee.
The pride of his life was family. He is survived by his loving wife, Floydene; 4 sons, Mark, Brad, Gregg, and Chad and their spouses; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and one great grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alisha and 4 brothers, Jim, Arnie, Neal, and Stan.
Due to the covid pandemic a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
