Lee Adrianna Shepherd-Lee

Lee Adrianna Shepherd-Lee was born May 26, 1950, in Syracuse, N.Y., to Marjorie and Merton Shepherd. She moved to Orlando, Fla., as a child, and, at the age of 30, moved to Washington state where she lived until she passed away May 31, 2021, in Buckley at the age of 71.

Lee was a kind, compassionate person who loved people and animals. Her compassion could easily be seen in her choice of profession. Lee was a certified LPN and a consummate caregiver, who retired from nursing after 27 years of service.

Her caring spirit was also evident in the way her eyes lit up as she watched hummingbirds flit across her back porch and how she would take in strays­—the two-foot variety and the four-pawed too. She also had a great love for God, Israel and Jerusalem. She found comfort in reading the Bible. She also loved to play online games.

Lee is survived by son, Kevin Shepherd; daughters, Michelle Hinton and Genie Shepherd; and grandchildren Blaine Shepherd, Jazzy Shepherd, Ceara Page, Jacob Shepherd, Emmily Shepherd, Michael Hinton, Elijah Shepherd, Harper Shepherd and Cora Shepherd.

A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 8, from 4-8 p.m. at Weeks’ Funeral Home, 451 Cemetery Rd., Buckley, WA 98321. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, June 9, at 11 a.m., also at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley. A graveside service will directly follow at Buckley Cemetery.
