Leon Leonard Wickizer

Leon Leonard Wickizer of Buckley, WA passed away on July 6th surrounded by family & friends.
Leon was born in Omaha, NE on August 21st, 1939, to Leonard and Cora Wickizer. His family moved extensively during his childhood, and we always said that his theme song should be “I’ve Been Everywhere”. As a result of the frequent moving, he was determined to settle in one place and once he moved to Buckley in 1962, he never left.
Leon spent his life working in the logging/trucking industry and owned Leon’s Trucking. Leon was named “Bull of the Woods” in 2018.

Leon was preceded in death by his father Leonard, Mother Cora, Son Timothy, Sister Evelyn, and Brother Sam. He is survived by his loving wife Angie Wickizer, children Cheryl Wickizer, Lynn Radcliff (Wayne), Randy Wickizer and Charlyn McDanold (Matthew). His Siblings, Jack Wickizer (Dianne), Dean Wickizer (Carol), Alice Betts (Rick), David Wickizer, Pam Wickizer as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A private graveside will be held for family and close friends. A celebration of life will be held at Leon and Angie’s; 26513 112th St E Buckley, WA 98321 at noon on August 21st, 2021.

The family would like to thank the many truck drivers that did a drive-by salute on Leon’s last day.
