MARILYN MARCILLE Obituary

Marilyn Rae Marcille grew her Angel wings and went to be with Jesus on Sunday morning October 10, 2021. She was born on July 28, 1946 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Maynard and Lucille Svendgard. Born the third of five children, the family moved around a bit and finally settled in the Seattle, Washington area. Marilyn was enrolled in Seattle Christian School when she was in the 7th grade and met her dear friend, Elaine with whom she shared over sixty years of friendship.  She graduated in 1964 with only eight other beloved classmates, one of whom eventually became her sister-in-law and introduced Marilyn to the love of her life, Stephen Marcille.  Stephen and Marilyn married on July 22nd 1966 and were together until his passing in October of 2011. Marilyn’s most precious dream was to one day become a mother.  She and Stephen were blessed when they welcomed their first baby, a son, Stephen Marcille II, in June of 1968. They were again blessed when their daughter, Melissa was born in June of 1974. Marilyn raised her children and in 1998, Marilyn and Steve relocated to Oregon to be closer to their four grandchildren.  Marilyn regularly participated in CBS Bible Study and enjoyed the opportunity to teach the small children about Jesus. She also worked for several years as a nanny for a beloved family with two amazing boys. Marilyn always had a fierce love for the Lord.  She played a very active roll within her Church community. She adored singing in the school choir and her church choir and we are sure she is now singing in the front row in God’s Choir!  Marilyn enjoyed going on long walks, working out and playing a good game of Yahtzee.  Over the years, Marilyn enjoyed traveling to see friends and family, often traveling as far as Denver and Nebraska. Marilyn had a heart for service and loved volunteering her time and resources freely. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother, loyal sister, and spirited friend. Marilyn had a true gift for making everyone she met feel loved and special. She will long be remembered for her grace, compassion and beautifully written thank you notes, as well as her piercing blue eyes and million-dollar smile. Marilyn is survived by her son, Stephen Marcille II (Natasha); daughter Melissa Wyman (Craig); grandchildren Bryan AnDyke (Rachel & soon to be baby AnDyke), Stephen Marcille III (Valentina), Danyela Marcille and Christina Marcille and two great grandchildren Brooklyn and AJ. Marilyn will be laid to rest with Steve, her Beloved Husband of 45 years, at the Tahoma National Cemetery.  A celebration of her life will be held in early 2022.
