Obituary

Mary A. John, 102, of Enumclaw, Washington died February 23, 2023 at High Point Village. She was born February 12, 1921. Mary was a native of Salem, Oregon. She lived in Enumclaw since 2001 and previously lived in the central valley of California. She worked as a secretary for the California Teachers Association before retiring. Mary was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Enumclaw. She enjoyed quilting and knitting, making hundreds of baby sweaters for Lutheran World Relief.

Mary is survived by her children, Mary Beth Pollard (Jerry) of Anacortes, Julie Griswold (Gary) of Enumclaw, and Douglas John of Riverbank, California. She had seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her husband of sixty-two years, Dean, died in 2005.

A service will be held at 1:15 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
