Michael Fata Obituary

Michael passed away at the age of 70 years old, surrounded by loved ones. He succumbed to Liver Cancer within a month of being diagnosed.

Michael was born in Seattle Washington to Peter Fata and Rose Fata .

Michael was raised in the Rainier Valley of South Seattle, and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1968. He then joined the Navy and received an honorable discharge in 1969, I guess sleepwalking on a ship is a no no.

Michael then began work at the Boeing Company and spent 30 years there while working his way through riveting and door shop manager to fastener manager before retiring. He took many special friendships from Boeing with him after retirement, you know who you are.

Michael was many things to many people but, most of all, will be remembered for his kind and generous personality. He was a kind soul and had a compassion for helping the more needy of society. He volunteered at the Renton Food Band and also at the Bonney Lake food bank where he met some good friends also. He also was with Junior Achievement in his younger years.

Michael was preceded in death by his son, Richard Lindsay, father, Peter Fata, mother, Rose Fata, his grandmother Rose Ziviello, and his nephew, Antonio Scott.

He is survived by Shirley Fata, his daughter Michelle (Scott) Fasser, his grandsons, Kyle, Shane, and Jackson, and one granddaughter, Lindsay and a great granddaughter Jayde, sister Rosemary, and many special cousins and nieces and nephews, Robert Scott, Richard Scott, Heather Fata, and Lisa Nelson, Oksauna Nelson, Taneshia Scott, Amber Scott, Michael Miller, Janessa Le, and Blake Nimke, and Austin Scott, and assorted great great nieces and nephews, Tramaine Johnson, Lilly Prescott , M. J. Prescott. He is also survived by some of the best friends a guy could have. You know who you are.

Rest in peace to the best brother a person could have. [♥️]
