It is with a saddened heart that I am announcing the death of Nathan “Nate” O. Edelen. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 2, 2022 from congestive heart failure. He was at home with his wife, Jacquie and his son Jerry in Puyallup, WA, his home for the last 22 years.
Born in Denver, Colorado on December 27, 1943 to Dan and Dorothy Edelen, he attended Cherry Creek High School where he enjoyed being part of the football team, graduating in 1962. After completing high school, he worked for his father in the glass business for a short time while participating in bareback bronco riding with the rodeo before moving to California. He worked for Aerojet Rocketdyne in California and for a few years in his spare time, he coached the youngsters of the Moorpark Tigers baseball team.
He then returned to Denver where he owned and operated, Cinderella City Glass, a successful glass business for many years. Later, returning to California he met and married his soul mate Jacquie, and was happily married to her for over 32 years.
Moving to Washington State in 1993, he worked as a union glazier until his retirement. Nate worked hard, played hard and enjoyed life. He loved tent camping and later loved camping with his fifth wheel. He enjoyed traveling, square dancing and renovating/remodeling his home in Puyallup. He was very talented and took great pride in his home. He was considered a wonderful man by all his friends and loved by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his spouse Jacquie, sons, Jimmy Lee, Jerry and Jim, and his former wife DeDe. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Robert, his brother Jim and his parents Dorothy and Dan.
