He was a devoted husband, esteemed older brother, respected father, and valued friend. He had a strong work ethic and was loved by those close to him. Neil was born in Watertown, Wisconsin on August 8, 1944 to Frank Howard Gallagher and Gail Masters Gallagher. As an infant the family made their way to Seattle for his father’s career. Neil graduated from Sammamish High School, Bellevue WA in 1962. He served in the National Guard from 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1970. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1968. As a youngster he learned how to hunt and fish with his father and enjoyed camping with the family. He received accolades in his early teens as an accomplished skier and later he honed his skills as a cowboy competing in rodeos. He raised Holsten heifers, drove trucks, worked the pipe line in Alaska. He ran his trucking business Northern Transport Incorporated with his brother Brian until his retirement in 2009. In his leisure he enjoyed boating and family trips and in his retired years he enjoyed gardening, reading, watching baseball and football at home and crabbing at Becket Point. He was loved and will be missed. He is survived by his beloved wife Rosalynn Gallagher, his brother Brian Gallagher (Laurie), children Bobbi Virta (Pasi), and Dawn Lawrence (Roger), David Craig, and Bradley Gallagher (Tara), eleven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and his niece Shawna Chabot (Cody) and nephew Greg Gallagher.
