Nellvergne Allen-Young Zajac, left this world for a peaceful one May 3, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois October 30, 1932, to Beatrice and William Young, the last and only girl of five. Nellvergne spent her formative years in Houston, Texas, birthplace of Father Williams. She and her brothers were left orphans by family tragedy, September 30, 1940. They were raised by their maternal grandparents in West Seattle on Beach Drive SW. She experienced many early deaths of senior family members and one brother. Nellvergne attended Alki, James Madison Jr. High, and West Seattle High, but graduated from Reagan High, 1950 in Houston to which she had returned. She married in 1952 and raised three children. Divorced in 1965, she then returned to the working world and spent years in various Government positions, finally retiring from Boeing Commercial Airplanes. She leaves behind one wonderful child, Vanessa Whitcomb-Albin, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her children Dana Haney and Tilma Brooks, and her three older brothers. Besides dealing with illnesses, she continued her interest in researching UFO phenomenon, involvement in WS High alumni/friends, spiritual quests, environmental and political causes. Nellvergne remarried in 1986. She awakened talent in linguistic abilities causing her to be involved at work and private life working with foreign born people. She will be inurned with her husband in Buckley City Cemetery.
