On September 15th, 2023, Mom was reunited with Dad after a long-fought battle.  In the weeks preceding her death she was able to spend time with family, close friends, schoolmates, and church members. 

Mom loved to cook, paint, draw, sew and quilt in her free time but was passionate about educating preschool children at Trinity Lutheran Pre-School, where she was the Director for many years.  Mom enjoyed spending time with her fellow artists and quilters as a painting group member at the Arts Alive Studio and quilting with the Crystal Quilters.   Pat also had the travel bug and loved going places (especially Hawaii) with our Dad, family and friends, especially on trips with the grandkids. 

Mom was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Jorgensen, and husband Donald Garrett.  Mom is survived by sisters Joan Jorgensen and Jan (Ron) Martinson; sons Michael (Lynn) Garrett, Christopher (Diane) Garrett and Adam (Kaylee) Garrett; Niece Stephanie; grandchildren: Austin, Lauren, Christian, Hannah, Sarah, Alex, and Nik. 

As a family, we thank you for spending time with her over the past few months. We are incredibly grateful for the treatment she received from those responsible for her care (St Elizabeth Hospital, Virginia Mason, Enumclaw Health and Rehabilitation Center, Heritage House Memory Care and Providence Hospice).

A memorial service for Mom will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 10th, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church (1535 Washington Ave in Enumclaw, WA 98022).
