In loving memory of Raven Moses Nelson, born on March 20, 1997, in Renton, Washington, to Richard Nelson, Jr. and Lorraine Joy Moses. Raven's bright spirit and kind heart brought warmth and joy to all who knew him. Sadly, he departed from this world on January 26, 2024, in Auburn, Washington.
Raven had a passion for beading, spending hours creating beautiful works of art. He also enjoyed playing Xbox, immersing himself in virtual adventures, and he found solace and connection in the rhythms of music. Raven was a devoted caregiver to his nieces and nephews, sharing laughter and love with them as he watched over them with a protective eye. He also found comfort and community in the spiritual practice of attending the sweat lodge.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Nelson, Jr., his grandparents Cecil and Thelma Moses, his grandfather Richard Nelson, Sr., and his brother Luke Moreno, as well as several beloved cousins.
Raven is survived by his loving mother, Lorraine Moses, his brothers Tony Rutherford and Howie Moses, his sister Rena Nelson, and his aunties Mardee Rodrigues and Sarah Moses. He is also survived by his uncles Bud Moses, Louie Moses, Gerald Moses, and Johnnie Moses, Sr., and his cherished nieces and nephews Aiden, Ko, Roslyn, Tayton, Rashawn, Allison, Mimi, Sarah, Joy, Rosie, Kincaid, Akeisha, Kiya, Syr, as well as his grandmother, Larae Nelson.
Though Raven's physical presence may be gone, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness and generosity. May his memory be a blessing, and may his loved ones find comfort in the cherished moments they shared with him.
