Richard Siewing Obituary

Richard K. (Dick) Siewing formerly from Springdale, WA passed peacefully at his residence in Enumclaw, WA on July 5th, 2020. Richard enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 17. He served aboard the USS Cabildo, USS Warbler, USS Whipple, and USS Midway as a radio man. He also served several years aboard the USS Patrick Henry as a submariner. After joining the recruiting service Richard rose to the highest enlisted rank as Command Master Chief for Navy Recruiting Forces retiring in Washington DC. He loved his service to his country. Richard worked security for a major casino in Las Vegas before returning to Washington State where he worked for the Department of Corrections in Clallam Bay. In Springdale, Richard found “his spot” which reminded him of his days as a young boy in Colorado.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Siewing and his sister Michelle Payne. He is survived by his sister Patricia Lamar (husband Mick) of Leavenworth, WA; beautiful daughters, Meg Rose of Black Diamond, WA, Ali Webster of Renton, WA and Adie Abu-Zahra of Renton, WA; grandchildren, Brooke Brown of Bickleton, WA, Brianna Baxley of Northgate, WA, Caleb Webster of Renton, WA, Amir & Aziz Abu-Zahra of Renton, WA; nephews, Jason Lamar of Oak Harbor, WA, Michael Payne of Valley Village, CA; and nieces, Jennifer Crossley of Leavenworth, WA and Stacy Payne of Shoreline, WA.

The family will be holding a private ceremony.  In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars, P.O. Box 8958 Topeka, KS 66608-8958
