Robert Kreager passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 11, 2021 in Enumclaw, WA surrounded by his loving family. He was born 82 years ago in Spokane, WA to Jack and Rosalie Kreager. As a young man, he enlisted in the Army where he became a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. After completing his enlistment, he earned undergraduate degrees in English and Sociology from Cal State Fullerton in 1965. While in Fullerton, he also met the love of his life, Susan, while attending a ballroom dance class. They were married in 1965 and began a lifelong journey that led them around the world with their three sons. Graduating with a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah in 1969, Robert started a social work career that led him into the Air Force as a commissioned officer and took him and his family around the world, including Australia, Turkey, England, Greece, and every corner of the United States, before retiring to Port Angeles and then to Enumclaw, WA. Throughout his life, Robert was known for his kindness, integrity, and unconditional love. His passions included flying, travel, reading, and preparing his three boys to be virtuous men. Later in life Robert discovered another passion as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Robert lived a full life and remained a wonderful caretaker of the relationships he made up until the day he passed.
