Robert Paul Stygar, age 93, passed away March 1, 2021 in Enumclaw. He was born October 12, 1927 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Peter and Anna (Jones) Stygar. Bob was a resident of Enumclaw for 63 years, the last 6 years he lived at High Point Village. Bob served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1945-1948, then worked at Rohr Industries for many years. He faithfully attended Calvary Presbyterian Church every Sunday. Bob enjoyed traveling and playing cards. He volunteered at the Enumclaw Kiwanis Food Bank, Enumclaw Hospital, Enumclaw Plateau Historical Society, and drove seniors to doctor’s appointments well into his 80’s.
Bob is survived by his 3 daughters, Sandra Hackstock (Richard), Nora Hogenson (Tom), and Barbara Mac Onie (Robert); 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen and sisters, Katherine and Patricia.
Bob will be interred beside his wife Helen following a private family service with military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
