Roger Joseph Cormier Jr. passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Enumclaw Washington. He was born in Seattle on November 5, 1969 to Roger and Alfreda (Baker) Cormier who moved to Enumclaw to raise their family which included 2 boys and 4 girls. Roger graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1988 where he lettered in soccer and wrestling. He held many jobs but worked long term for Hugo’s Custom Cabinets which he later purchased and ran for many years as Roger’s Custom Cabinets and Design. His passion was custom cabinets, and he was very gifted at designing.
Roger’s son Roger the III was born on January 26, 1993 and very quickly became his very best friend. They played paintball, shot guns, fished, camped, raced, rode quads, and spent much time at their family property.
In 2005, Roger began working for United Wholesale Supply in Kent where he quickly became family and will continue to leave an everlasting impression not only with his co-workers but with his clients as well.
In 2006, Roger started dating his lifetime love, Maren. They did everything together including riding in the sand dunes, fishing, tons of Harley adventures, the casino, vacations, and so much more for the next 15 years.
If you were blessed enough to be in Roger’s world, you would always be laughing. He was the most loving, caring man who would do anything for anyone that needed it and he never expected anything in return. If you were his friend, you were considered family. He was outgoing, funny, loved to make people laugh. His hobby was to make all his toys, which included his sand rail, his RZR, his Harley, his quad, and his truck, the very best and the very fastest. He loved having all of his family and friends gather and prided himself with his costume creations at their annual Halloween parties. Roger’s home away from home were the sand dunes, which was his idea of Heaven.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents Roger and Alfreda and his sister Patty. He is survived by his son Roger, who feels so honored to be able to carry on his dad’s name; his sisters Lenora (John) Triplett, Roxann (Jeff) Holwege, and Sharon Cormier; his brother Mark Cormier; his lifetime love Maren, her daughter Bailey (River Droz) Higgins, and his first granddaughter River; and several nieces and nephews.
We know that Roger is up there riding on endless sand dunes and will watch over us until we see him again.
Thank you to those who have already shown such amazing support to us in this time as we adjust to our lives without this amazing man.
