Ronald Andrew Miller, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on August 17, 2022, from Covid-pneumonia. He was born in Enumclaw, WA on February 4, 1947, to Andrew and Helen Miller. After graduating from Enumclaw High School in 1965, he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Education from Central Washington University. It was always his dream to become a teacher and coach in his hometown of Enumclaw and he became a positive impact on his community for 75 years.
As a teacher, Mr. Miller taught at Enumclaw High School for 30 years and for many, he was known as "Coach Miller”. He loved sports and was privileged to coach many teams over 30 years including boys basketball, girls basketball, girls softball and football where he was head coach. Ron truly loved all sports, especially football and golf. He was a dedicated Husky and Seahawks fan and never missed a game.
On May 6, 1972, he married his wife Ronna, and over more than 50 years of marriage they raised three wonderful children: Michelle, Troy, and Scott. Over the years he was a thoughtful husband, father, and "papa" to his grandkids. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ronna, daughter Michelle (Josh) Couch, sons Troy Miller and Scott (Caitlin) Miller, grandchildren, Isabelle, Madison, Hudson, Hallie, Brooklyn, Austin, and Lucy. Ron was called home to be with the Lord and joined his parents, Andrew and Helen Miller, and his sister Marge Miller.
Ron has touched so many lives with his sense of humor and kindness. He was admired and loved within his community both in Enumclaw and Surprise, AZ where he enjoyed retirement, golfing in the sunshine. Ron leaves a deep void in the lives of those around him and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Please join his family for a Memorial Service led by Pastor and friend, Mike Majack, at The Field House (Pete’s Pool) on September 25, 2022, at 3:00 PM. Following the Service will be a Celebration of Life and refreshments.
