Samuel Thomas Pennington

Sam is survived by his dad, Jerome Grant Pennington (Sandra Hunt); his mom, Laurie Olsen-Pennington; sisters Sarah Norman, Kate Pennington, Megan Olsen; grandmother Sheila Davidson; and other beloved family members and friends. He continues to brighten their lives with his memory.  Sam grew up with a love for playing basketball and camping with friends.  To his nieces and nephews, Uncle Sam was an endless source of joy and happiness.  He loved riding his bike with his sister Megan and her partner Kasey experiencing the great outdoors.  Being outdoors was where Sam was happiest.  On one of his backpacking trips with his mom in the Sawtooth Range in Idaho, Sam showed his true colors by saving his mom after she had broken her wrist.  He assisted her to safety while being injured in the head from a falling rock.  Sam's heroism shone bright that day in particular and everyday he was kind and generous to others.  His infectious sense of humor made him universally loved.  His beautiful smile will be missed.  Sam will continue to live within the hearts of those who remember him.
