Sereta: Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend to many.
Sereta Ann Walsh, 83, of Enumclaw, passed away on August 5, 2023 comfortably at home in Enumclaw, Washington. Family members held and cared for her in her final moments, before she joined her family in Heaven.
Sereta was born in Yakima, Washington to Rex and Aldine Jones on April 25, 1940. The 2nd of 3 children, Sereta, went to school in Yakima and attended A. C. Davis Senior High School. Sereta met the love of her life and forever partner, James F. Walsh. They were married on August 5, 1958.
During her life, one of Sereta’s favorite workplaces, while her children were growing up, was Brenner Brothers Bakery. She spent many years there and shared her love of bagels and pastries with her children. Sereta later started her own beauty salon business “Classic Nails and Hair”. She spent many years running her salon with Jim as her partner and handy man. Her passion for looking great and being classy, always showed though in everything she did. She absolutely adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sereta had a positive impact on everyone around her, including her entire family, close friends, and all those she loved.
Sereta is survived by her husband of 65 years, James F. Walsh; an amazing family legacy of her 3 children, Jackie, Vance, and Rod and their wives, Darci and Melody; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves nieces, Denise and Chris and nephews, David, Jimmy, and Todd. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Larry; and her sister Lajune.
