Suzan Dee Houghton

 Sue passed away peacefully at her home January 11, 2022, she was 75 years old. She is survived by her husband Jon Charles Houghton; son and daughter-in-law Eric and Deana Houghton; sister Debbie Newman; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Nora LaBarge; Three grandchildren Kaylee Houghton, Grace Houghton, and Jessie Houghton; two nieces Michele Pries, Crystal LaBarge and their children Katelyn Pries and Izabella Bergeron.

 Sue was born August 11, 1946 in Sioux City Iowa to parents Marion and Ronald Vosburgh. Marion later moved to Seattle area and married Joseph LaBarge.

 On May 6, 1967 Sue married her best friend Jon Charles Houghton. She met Jon while he was in the Air Force and stationed at Paine Field in Everett WA. Jon and Sue purchased their home in Auburn in 1969 where they have lived ever since. Jon and Sue started their own business in 1988 where Sue managed the bookkeeping and finances.           

 Sue loved beachcombing and kite flying with her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping for and collecting treasures of all sorts, flower gardening and bird watching. Sue was a wonderful cook and loved to host family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Her visitation and Funeral will be held at Week’s Funeral Home 451 Cemtetary Rd. Buckley, WA 98321 on Saturday, January 22, 2022 with visitation from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and Funeral beginning at 2:00 pm
