Thomas Lammle Obituary

Thomas Allen Lammle, 71, of Buckley, died September 29, 2019 in Seattle at Kindred Hospital. Thomas was born October 2, 1947 to Milbert and Elizabeth (Meier) Lammle in Ipswich, SD. He was raised in the small farming town of Roscoe, SD, where he completed his 12 years of schooling. Thomas later went on to receive his associate degree from Bellevue Community College. Tom proudly stepped up to serve his country when the call came and joined the Army in 1966, serving in Vietnam from 1967-1968 and receiving the military’s oldest medal a Purple Heart for bravery in action. Tom finally mustered out of the Army in 1969 at Fort Lewis, Washington.

Thomas met and married the love of his life, Judy Sickels on February 14, 1969. They were blessed with the arrival of their two children Rachel Denise in 1973 and Heather Jean in 1974.

Tom made his career with the phone company for over 32 years. This took him, Judy and the family all over Washington, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Idaho. After retiring at 55 Tom and Judy settled in Moses Lake and then Buckley.

Those left to love and remember Tom are his wife, of 50 years, Judy Lammle, daughters, Rachel Eidal and husband Marcus, Heather Tyson and husband Robert. Three grandchildren; McKenna, Ellie and Robert Thomas.

Also surviving Thomas are his sisters, Carolyn Seitsinger of Cheney, Washington, Marilyn Oberbey and husband Clark of Aberdeen, South Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews
