Travis Kelly Harp

Our beloved, Travis Kelly Harp passed on April 11, 2022 in Enumclaw, Washington. Travis was born August 14,1970 to Bill and Vicki Harp, joining his siblings and best friends, Jeff, Cindy, and Billy.

Travis grew up in Black Diamond, Washington where he spent much of his youth exploring the Green River Gorge with his best buds, Paul, Marty, and Troy, building his 1947 Jeep Willys with his dad, hunting, fishing, and camping. He graduated from Enumclaw High School class of 1988, spent a couple years in Alaska salmon fishing and then crabbing on the Bering Sea with his brother Bill. He came home and married his high school sweetheart and love of his life on September 19,1992, all while remodeling their home and completing his Plumber/Pipefitter apprenticeship.

In 1994 his legacy was cemented when he became a father. He was the most incredible, selfless and present father who adored his family. He had two sons but was a father figure to many. Always available and always encouraging. This was his favorite thing in the world.

In 1996 Travis built the family home where he was always dreaming up the next project, whether a tree house or a golf course. In 2000 he started D.M. Kelly Mechanical and over the last 22 years built it into something special with his family and employees that have become family.

If Travis loved you, you knew it. “I Love Yous” were abundant and evening calls/conversations always ended in “Sweet Dreams, Happy Thoughts.”  This is a huge loss to his family and friends.  Travis will be missed dearly but we are comforted knowing he is in the loving arms of the Lord and with his family that has gone before him.

Travis leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Penny Harp; their two sons, Dane and Mason Harp; his mother, Vicki Harp; and his siblings, Cindy Harp Proctor and Jeff Harp. He is preceded in death by his father, William Harp and brother, Billy Harp. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21st from 5-8pm at Weeks' Funeral Home, 451 Cemetery Road, Buckley, WA.

Friends and family are invited to come together to raise a glass at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 21st at 3:00 pm at The Men’s Club at the Enumclaw Golf Course, 45220 288th Ave SE, Enumclaw, WA.
