Victor Guarin, age 74, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was born in Seattle, WA on January 27, 1946 to Raymondo and Virginia (Landenglas) Guarin. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1964 and went on to enlist in the United States Air Force. While based in Victorville, CA. Victor met and married his first wife, Monica Domonouski of San Bernardino in 1966 (together they would have a daughter, Stephanie, in 1974). Victor served his country in the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant, stationed at Com Ranh Bay, under the 12th Tactical Fighter Wing from September 1966 to September 1967. He was a Cryogenics Production Sgt., producing liquid oxygen for the F4C fighter pilots, gaining his nickname, “Ice Man”. Upon return to civilian life, Victor began his lifelong career in automotive sales. His strong work ethic and extraordinary ability to connect with people led him from salesman to GM to dealership owner. Victor married his current wife Judy Joswick in 1990, becoming a devoted stepfather to her three children, Jason, Kyle and Regan, and settling in Judy’s hometown of Buckley, WA. Always a family man, Victor enjoyed spending his spare time with his wife, children and his many nieces and nephews. When he retired and became a grandfather, Victor enjoyed his five grandchildren above all else. He was their best buddy, mentor, travel companion and supplier of ice cream. Victor is survived by his wife, Judy (Joswick) Guarin, daughter, Stephanie Guarin and her sons Jackson and Gavin Muller, daughter Regan (Josh) Birlew and her children, Aiden, Ethan and Quinn, son Jason (Joswick), sisters Gloria (Bill) Mamon, Liz (Bernie) Cantil, Carol (Joe) Callia and Esther (Lonny) Finn, as well as many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Services will be held at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley, WA.
