Our Dad, Victor Armando Segobia, “Toro” was born in Lynwood, California on March 25th, 1949. He passed away November 8th, 2020. He left California in 1981 with his wife and 2 children to settle in Washington State, where he later had 5 more children. If you had the pleasure of knowing him, you most likely had yourself a nickname or two. The most unique things about him were the nicknames he gave everyone. You could not help but laugh at all of them. Dad definitely had a goofy side to him, pulling pranks on us, cracking jokes, often at our expense, but good memories, nonetheless. He loved being in the company of family and friends while sharing some good food. Buying gifts and taking us out to eat was his love language. Pretty sure we hit up all the Asian buffets. Although he never made it to a live game at Lambeau field, he was the biggest Green Bay Packers fan we knew. Watching games together were some of our best memories we shared. His love for God and this Country was undeniable. Dad served in the US Navy and was a conservative to the core. His strong heart will live on through us. He is loved and missed so much.
He survived by 2 sons: Demetrius Segobia and wife, Amy and Noah Segobia; 5 daughters: Brenda Tibeau and husband, Jacques, Hannah Forza and husband, Matt, Donna Shantz and husband, Brian, Sarah Segobia and boyfriend, Nathan Shafer, and Veronica Anderson and husband Jacob; 5 siblings: Christina Ramos, Lucille Lopez, Belinda Lara, Robert Segobia, and Alex Segobia; 2 half-brothers: Ramon and Robert Segobia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He had 10 grandchildren who will deeply miss their grandpa. He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Segobia; grandson, Johnathan A. Segobia; and parents, Victor Sr. and Virginia Segobia.
We will meet again one day in Glory.
